Exploring the art of Dress ups! (From Jan 2nd til’ Feb 3rd)
While activities like MoPA’s new “cut and paste dress-ups” may seem like harmless fun, these joyful shenanigans can actually be VERY. Serious. Business…
Children (and sometimes adults!) dress up because it’s just fun, of course. But children also use these make-believe opportunities to experiment with personas and scenarios that reach far beyond regular everyday life. The dress-up games they play enhance their creative skills, and it’s also now proven that children build fundamental social skills through play; and these skills pay dividends well into adult life.
Note: All of MoPA’s activities, and the materials required to participate in them, are all included with all regular tickets.
Can you believe it? It’s almost EASTER already! 🐰🐣
Starting Monday 23rd, all our gorgeous lil’ guests will be invited to hop into this new super-cute craft activity — Making their very own “Hopping Headbands”!!
Well... This is also true for everyone else in our world.
And Harmony Day is a celebration of this very idea!
To help our lil’uns grasp this seemingly simple but hugely important concept, ALL guests that visit MoPA next week are being invited to decorate a unique character - be it a representation of themselves, a friend, nanny or pop, or anyone else that’s part of our gorgeous global community. This is gonna be FUN!!
Don’t miss out on $100 off the BEST Birthday Parties in Melbourne!
A massive happy birthday to Axel, and congrats on another incredible year raising your lil’ rascal @melbournewithsiri — Looks like it’s going to take a while to wipe that smile off that young man’s face!! ❤️🕺🪩
Best video of the year…. LOVE this so much. And LOVE seeing soooooo many grandparents at MoPA. 3 weeks left of FREE GRANDPARENTS — Don’t miss out!! x ❤️
All grandparents are FREE at MoPA until the end of February… Even Gran-ma (with no “D”!!). Cutest vid ever. More of this papa gold to come… STAY TUNED!
❤️ SOUND ON 😭 (Ready for happy tears?): “Until I became a grandparent I didn’t understand the love, and just the emotion…”
Grandparents are free at MoPA this summer (3 weeks to go!!) and it has hands-down been the most beautiful environment in the Museums all summer long. The most special part of this time is that what we’re seeing most is 3-generations — all creating beautiful memories together. Grandparents are just visiting with the kiddlybites — it’s a full family affair.
