Role description:
This role involves managing the daily operations of The Museum Café and delivering outstanding guest experiences. It is a 100% hands-on position, ‘doing the do’ sometimes by yourself, but also overseeing a small casual/part-time team responsible for opening, closing, and front-of-house activities, including food presentation, order taking, food and beverage service, coffee making, food rotation, and waste management. Additionally, the café supervisor handles café cleaning, inventory replenishment, restocking, and urgently resolving repairs and maintenance issues.
To be considered for this position, you will:
- Have experience in leading a team in a fast paced cafe and being a jack of all trades: barista (must be able make a great coffee), order taker, server, bussy, cleaner, quality controller, food preparer etc
- Be super passionate about customer care and service – with unwavering patience and a cool head during very busy times
- Be capable of working collaboratively with the kitchen team to showcase the highest quality of food and beverage offer
- Have heaps on energy, amazing attention to detail, impeccable personal standards and be a great communicator

Our delightful crew of Cafe Team Members are responsible for ensuring that our cafe is the cleanest, yummiest haven for nutrients that our guests could ever ask for.
