To all our dear makers – are you ready to potter, play, and create?
Introducing Playful Pots – a joyful, hands-on activation where little makers can turn simple materials into something blooming beautiful. Children are invited to colour, decorate, and bring to life their very own paper pot, before it’s carefully shaped and secured into a sweet wrap-around pot for a cup or container.
Will it be covered in rainbows? Polka dots? A garden of wild, wiggly flowers? However they imagine it, every creation is uniquely theirs.
With plenty of room for creativity, experimentation, and a touch of crafty magic, Playful Pots is all about celebrating self-expression and the simple joy of making.
Running from Tuesday 7 April through to Monday 1 June, plenty of time to pop in, play, and make something special to take home.

We’ve grown MoPA to 4 Museums and $30M cumulative revenue in 6 years, thanks to support from colleagues, family and friends, Australia Council for the Arts and YOU, our gorgeous guests. And so when considering how to best fund a new exhibit program, and the NATIONAL growth opportunity ahead for MoPA, it only felt right that the first people we would offer the opportunity to would be YOU: the hundreds and thousands of families who adore and regularly attend their local children’s museums (and those that desperately want a local children’s museum!).
An incredible location has now been secured for the next MoPA in Adelaide, where 3,000+ families have already registered for early-bird parties, excursions and play (before any marketing investment). We’ve even started planning yet another interstate museum!
Registering your interest to become a shareholder (via the EOI link) puts YOU first in line when our Offer opens, before it opens to the general public. There’s no commitment and nothing to pay to register your EOI. We’ve even set aside investor rewards and memberships, which we’ll share when the Offer opens.

Inspired by all the incredible children’s museums overseas, we came home from a trip six years ago convinced that Australia deserved something just as special.
And, so, with more optimism than sense, we took the plunge: we designed and built our first museum. It’s been a roller coaster since then. In six years this uber talented team of now 120+ people has achieved some huge milestones:

Building four museums has been exciting. But on top of that, we’ve ALSO built the systems required to support a national network of 20+ children’s museums.

This theme recognises foster carers who generously open their homes and hearts to help children and young people feel safe and connected, while creating opportunities for the future.

All foster kiddos and their families enjoy free access to MoPA: it’s the very LEAST we can do to support some of the children and families in our community who need it the most.
